The Lord of the Rings: War in the North annunciato da Warner Bros.

Warner Bros Interactive ha appena annunciato con un comunicato stampa ufficiale l’arrivo di The Lord of the Rings: War in the North, titolo multiplayer a metà tra azione ed RPG basato sul celebre romanzo di J.R.R. Tolkien, previsto per il 2011 su PS3, X360 e PC.

Metro 2033, Ghost of the Metro trailer

Il 19 marzo è vicino e con esso anche l’uscita di Metro 2033. Il titolo di 4A Games, a metà strada tra un survival horror, un FPS ed un gioco di ruolo, che trae ispirazione da un romanzo russo dal medesimo titolo, torna a mostrarsi con un inquietante video dagli oscuri antri del sottosuolo.

Metro 2033 si mostra magnifico su X360

Difficile rimanere impassibili quando vengono rilasciati video di questa qualità.

Nel caso specifico quello mostrato sotto riguarda Metro 2033, un action game in prima persona, mescolato con elementi da survival horror ed RPG. Una sorta di Fallout 3 più frenetico e con i personaggi che non fanno cagare (mi perdoneranno i fan di Bethesda, tra i quali mi includo). Il gioco, che prende spunto dal romanzo Metro 2033 dell’autore russo Dmitry Glukhovsky è sviluppato dagli uraini di 4A Games e vedrà la luce su X360 e PC il prossimo 16 marzo.

Mass Effect 2 – Annunciato il romanzo “Retribution”, un prequel

Sono tipo 10 anni che sto provando a leggere “I pilastri della terra” di Ken Follet. E’ vero che sono tante pagine ma probabilmente la lettura non è una genuina passione per me. E’ altrettanto vero che mi sono letto la biografia non autorizzata di Zidane in un weekend…

Vabbè, non è una notizia per me è di oggi l’annuncio che Mass Effect verrà accompagnato nel suo lancio da un libro, questo “Retribution”, che narra vicende antecedenti a quelle della main stoty.

Anche qui il mio sforzo di traduzione andrebbe a togliere a voi il piacere della scoperta e nel contempo la possibilità di testare il vostro inglese. E vi lascio tutto come l’ho trovato. Errore mio.

Retribution is set in the universe fans know well from the video game and novel series—one in which humanity has explored the very farthest reaches of the universe, only to discover the ruthless Reapers, a race bent on extinguishing all organic life. One man is bent on discovering the Reapers’ secrets, the mysterious Illusive Man, the leader of a pro-human, black ops group, Cerberus. And he’s devised the perfect plan: implant a human subject with Reaper technology in order to study the enemy.
